In Fairyland Screensaver presents the marvelous fairy artwork of Richard Doyle. In Fairyland: A Series of Pictures from the Elf-World was first published in 1870. It is a masterpiece of vision and color printing. Richard Doyle was one of the most inventive of whole fairy illustrators, as his sketchbooks and watercolours demonstrate. The full page plates demonstrate scenes of humble fairies inhabiting the level of the forest, under flowers, mushrooms, and leaves. The fairies take jousts with insects, party with birds, dance under the moon, and laze around in the lush foliage of a marvelous fairy humans.
